A Song in Her Heart

Kinley, at the tender and tumultuous age of two, has a gift for learning songs. In one afternoon, you can hear her sing anything from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to High School Musical, and Jesus Loves Me. Recently, she piped up with a new song I had only heard on radio commercials. You see, we listen to Christian radio, exclusively, and they've been advertising a concert in March for Chris Tomlin. Apparently, during the commercial, they play Tomlin's song, "I Will Follow," because Kinley has started singing it. It is the most precious sound to hear your young daughter singing, "Where you go I'll go, Where you stay I'll stay, Where you move I'll move...I will follow You" knowing this song is about Jesus.

Can I please have a hug?

Our family was a little shocked when Kylie showed up with a fever and chills Thursday night. Long story short, poor thing had Type A Influenza (which all five of us had already received shots for) and spent the entire weekend quarantined in her room with DVD's of "Dukes of Hazzard". We did this to keep the other two kids, already on antibiotics, from catching the flu. Apparently Cameron and Kinley really missed having their big sister around. Sporadically throughout the weekend, Cameron would ask if he could have a hug from Kylie and Kinley would reach for her saying, "Sissy hold you." It was so sweet and all three children were thrilled to be back together today. And yes, everyone got their hug...even Mommy.
